Product Details

These Red Dot Aluminium Axilla Crutches are renowned for their remarkable clip-lock adjustable handles and push-button lower shaft.

These features ensure quick, precise measuring and easy fitting to the correct size.

The price shown is for a pair.

Despite the advent of modern style elbow crutches, the axilla design remains a favourite with many users.

The Red Dot Aluminium Axilla Crutches have armpit cushions and rubber handgrips which provide comfort and excellent resistance to wear and tear.

The crutches are made using lightweight aluminium tubing.

    Brilliant customer service as I had an initial issue with the payment method, which was completely down to my error. I was called back quickly having left an answer phone message and I was offered to order over the phone which I accepted, and the crutches were delivered to me the next day. Just over 12 hours from ordering to delivery was impressive. As for the crutches, I decided to buy the slightly more expensive brand, which was still excellent value compared to some other sellers. Very stable, easy to set up and no rough edges or exposed fastenings to snag on your clothes. I think they are excellent quality considering the price. Very pleasant experience all round, thanks.

    I thought you would like to know that the reason I purchased the crutches from you was because last year one of our elderly residents in kenya asked me to being him some new ones from england! So I carried them from gatwick to uganda and then to kenya so you have a very satisfied customer! 5 out of 5!

    The axilla crutches were bought mainly to help me stand up at drinks parties, so that I could 'swing' from my armpits and keep hands free for a glass and canapes. It is an art that needs concentration! I am still perfecting my style. The product does what it says on the tin and with practice will be very useful.

    I love my new crutches, I could have got them via the nhs but they’re so affordable that it seemed unfair to ask the nhs to provide them when I could buy them myself. They’re provided a new lease of life and allow me to get out of my wheelchair more often. The underarm axilla crutches are much better than the forearm crutches I had previously. I’d give them a 5-star rating. The service I received was equally good. Really good communication too. I’d have no hesitation in order more items with confidence.

    I’m very pleased with the crutches I ordered, they are quite unusual these days as they are of the ‘under-arm’ type and not that common. They are well made and reasonable priced.

    With regard to the crutches I ordered I would just like to advise that I am extremely happy with my purchase. The item arrived promptly and was exactly what I expected. The crutches are a very good quality and very comfortable to use as they are completely adjustable and very light. I would rate my crutches 10/10 and would definitely order any future equipment I require from essential aids. Thank you for a superb product.

    The axilla crutches I purchased from essential aids have been very helpful indeed, having had a prosthetic leg for over 50 years, over the last 2 years have had some problems, I tried to get a pair like these from nhs, but they would not supply them, I got your e-mail address from some one, and they were here within a matter of days.

    The axilla crutches are very good quality and I would highly recommend them to everyone. When using them, my wrists don't hurt meaning I can do more for myself. They are very comfy both under the arms and for the hands. Cathy hogan.

    I am happy with the aluminium axilla crutches, they are 100% better than nhs crutches. The handgrips get worn you cannot replace them it is a shame having to throw the metal part away, that is the only fault I can find.

    I was delighted with the quality of these aluminium axilla crutches. They were delivered extremely quickly and well packaged. They are so easy to adjust! I can even adjust them myself which is wonderful! I have my elbow ones from the nhs but so much pressure on my wrists and shoulders I needed a break from those. My idea now is to use these under arm (axilla) type crutches and rotate usage with my elbow crutches. I like the under arm type as I can rest on them and still use my hands to get something out of my bag - I cannot do that easily with elbow ones. I find the underarm type easier when I cannot but any weight on my right leg.
