exclusive accessories when ordering a kirton stirling chair lap belt

Product Details

These accessories are available for purchase only with a Kirton Stirling Chair at the same time of order.

The Lap-Belt includes fitted D-Rings into the chair and works in conjunction with seating to maintain the posture of those individuals that need extra pelvic support. The belt helps to retain the position of the pelvis to prevent inappropriate rotation, sliding or movement. The Lap-Belt helps stabilise the pelvis and position the occupant in the back of the chair to achieve a good sitting posture and reduce the risk of tissue damage through the effects of shear, which can occur if the occupant has an unstable posture. Simple to fit and easy to adjust, the Lap-Belt provides assurance to the carer and reduces the risk of injury for the user.

The Pelvic Positioners are designed for those seated for long periods or for those with posture related problems. The Pelvic Positioner can be used with a variety of specialist and traditional seating systems in order to provide a sense of security and protect against accidental injury. These come with the necessary D-Rings fitted into the chair.

Designed for use with the Kirton Stirling chair, the laminated tray has a choice of straps to secure the tray into position. It can be easily fixed into position on the chair with the straps while the user is in the sitting position. The tray weighs 2kg.

The Weighted Universal Headrest has been designed to be used with most of our specialist seating range. The curved design means the headrest supports the head comfortably, while the weight holds the cushion in place allowing it to be adjusted to a suitable height for the user. It comes in either the Dartex or the same Upholstery fabric of the chair you are ordering.

Push handles can also be fitted to the Kirton Chair to help with its manoeuvrability.
