Our Standard Alternating Cushion is a highly supportive cushion for use in static chairs and armchairs.

It evenly distributes the user's weight and helps to reduce the occurrence of pressure ulcers.

This makes it ideal for disabled, elderly or post-op patients that are required to sit down for long periods.

It is suitable for people who are at medium to high risk of pressure ulcers.

A foam base ensures that the patient is not injured in the case of a power failure.

The Standard Alternating Cushion does not have a charger, so must be plugged in at all times when in use. 

The inside of the cushion is made up of approximately 6 cells (like balloons) that are inflated and deflated in turn to relieve the pressure between the person and the cushion.

The user may feel a slight movement.

Included with the Standard Alternating Cushion is a pump and a vapour-permeable, stretchy cover.

This cover can be removed and cleaned if required.

The maximum safe user weight of the Standard Alternating Cushion is 101kg (16 stone).
