Product Details

The Vortex Air Pulp Macerator is a state-of-the-art waste disposal solution designed for healthcare facilities, incorporating the latest motor control and diagnostic tools to ensure minimal downtime and maximum performance.

Its SmartFlow maceration system efficiently processes medical pulp products, reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs) with its antimicrobial surfaces and touchless operation. Vernacare invented SmartFlowTM technology to protect the environment and the healthcare facility. Our unique ‘closed-drum’ system ensures that all waste placed into our machines is fully broken down before being released into the wastewater system.

The Vortex Air features cutting-edge technology, including a deodoriser pump, capacitive sensors for deodoriser and water tank levels, and an inflatable lid seal to prevent aerosolisation of harmful pathogens. The machine’s intelligent sensors provide precise diagnostics, while the user-friendly display shows real-time cycle status and time remaining.

This macerator is designed for water efficiency, processing up to four pulp items per cycle with minimal water usage—only 16L in Eco mode, 23L in Standard mode, and 27L in Heavy Duty mode.

It is also one of the quietest full-size macerators on the market, operating at just 62.0dBA.

The Vortex Air is equipped with multiple language options, making it suitable for international use, and offers multi-cycle functionality to meet the needs of various healthcare settings.

Choosing the Vortex Air means opting for a more convenient, hygienic, and environmentally friendly waste disposal system. The hands-free, single-use system eliminates the risk of cross-infection from reusable bedpans and reduces the potential for contamination through immediate disposal, with no aerosols released during operation. The Vortex Air's ‘closed-drum’ system ensures that all waste is fully broken down before entering the wastewater system, with 95% of particles being less than 1mm in size, ensuring quick and efficient discharge.

Installation and Commissioning
The Vortex Air Pulp Macerator comes with an option of a comprehensive installation and commissioning service, ensuring that your unit is set up and optimised for immediate use. If you wish to install it yourself, then we'll just need to make sure it is commissioned. Either option ensures that the warranty is valid providing peace of mind with maintenance support to keep your macerator functioning at peak performance.
