Product Details

The Good Grips Cutlery is designed specifically for those with neurological impairments or arthritis.

The cushioned broad handles feature flexible ribbing, enabling a secure grip even when wet.

A twist in the shaft allows the head to be set at an angle when required.

Made from stainless steel with latex-free rubber handles, each item of Good Grips Cutlery is available with weighted or unweighted handles.

The blade of the knife requires minimal arm strength, making cutting a simple task.

This cutlery is suitable for those with arthritis or others whose disability makes conventional cutlery hard to control.

A traditional Starter or Assessment Kit contains a Set of 5 utensils (either weighted or unweighted) which is made up of a rocker knife, fork, dessert spoon, teaspoon and a soup spoon.  Alternatively, there's a Set of 6 of the non weighted cutlery that adds the Serrated Rocker Knife.

The special edge of the Serrated Rocker Knife provides added stability while cutting, including meat.

The Souper Spoon with raised lip is ideal for people with tremors, poor hand control, arthritis, stroke, or Parkinson's disease. The innovative lip is specially designed to keep liquids and food on the spoon while moving from the plate to the mouth.

Please Note: Good Grips Cutlery is re-branding to Big-Grip so you may receive a mix of brand-names but please be assured that they are the same product. And we think Good Grips is the better name!

    Bought for my mother who is approaching 102 years of age. Her hand grip is not good and the thicker handle for this knife is a great help. The rocking action required with this knife makes life easier for her.

    This cutlery in my opinion is amazing. As someone with muscle wasting disease, dexterity issues are a big problem. Due to the weight, size of handle and the ability to angle the spoons and forks, it makes it so much easier to keep the independence that we thrive to embrace. I use the unweighted cutlery but for some, the weighted may be a better preference. I would highly recommend this product. 5*.

    I purchased some specially adapted cutlery for my aged father in law, after he suffered a minor stroke. They arrived very quickly and well packaged. As he suffers weakness in his right hand, the thicker grips make them easier to hold for longer periods.     The items I purchased (good grips cutlery) were for my father who is suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. Using ordinary cutlery was proving to be very frustrating for him. The good grip range has enabled him to overcome (though not fully) some of the problems he was having, so as far as he is concerned, they must be viewed as successful. They were delivered promptly too, so, many thanks.

    I ordered some of your good grips cutley on two separate days and on both occasions the order handling and delivery was prompt and efficient. The items themselves fit my needs perfectly. Ordinary cutlery is impossible to use when a gout attack is in progress.

    My husband has problems with gripping, and has found these good grip utensils a boon. We bought a complete set of cutlery, but mislaid the knife, and saw this serrated one which seemed good. He does find it easier for many foods.

    I purchased the good grips dessert spoon after first purchasing a knife and fork for my mum, who is 83 and although she did not want to admit it, she was finding it hard to hold ordinary cutlery. The good grips cutlery is easy to hold, comfortable to use and not unattractive. Your service was very good - quick and efficient and if I need to I will not hesitate to purchase items from yourselves again. I think the good grips cutlery is good value for money.

    My husband has advanced dementia but he has been able to regain a little ground in feeding himself. I only wish the good grips cutlery was a little less expensive as they are so good, I would buy multiples instead of having to wash them between courses at dinner. I have been completely satisfied with all my purchases for quality and usefulness.
