He has had a knee problem for some years that made it necessary to heave himself out of chairs with his arms. Huge effort and willpower is involved as he is very tall and (while not overweight) quite heavy. The strain eventually caused a frozen shoulder on one side. The other shoulder, now doing all the work, seemed to be going the same way, which was very alarming. He is amazed at this device - he can get out of a chair with ease, and no pushing with his arms required. (your service was also very good - it came within 24hrs of being ordered.) thanks for this - an absolute gem!
